Yikes! It's been over a week since I've last blogged... sorry for the procrastinating (darn procrastin-ASIANS).
So what's new with me? Well, I have officially been living in Las Vegas for 3 weeks now... it still feels like it's only been a week & I'm wondering how long it's going to take for me to get over the fact that I actually moved here. Technically I moved away from Lake Charles about a month ago, so I've had time to learn a few of things... It's amazing to me how fast it takes to realize who your true friends are when you're not so close to home. It literally takes the blink of an eye and is a huge dose of reality (in both good & bad ways)... In my opinion if a friendship can't withstand distance, how can it withstand anything?? Like I said, there are good & bad things about it. Bad thing- It's sad to realize that the people who you thought were there for you, really aren't... Good thing- People like that shouldn't belong in your life anyway, right? On another note, I know that I AM blessed for the good people that continue to stay faithfully in my life & I'd like to tell all of you that support me through anything & everything, that y'all are beyond amazing! I love y'all to the moon and back.
On a random note... It RAINED here the other day & I was actually excited lol... That's one thing I miss about the weather back home (random rainy lazy days)! Now don't get me wrong, it didn't storm by any means but it was still raining and what not lol, it really did make me feel a little more at home!
Oh, & the driving has become a lot easier for me... I just had to realize that there will always be psychotic city drivers around me regardless... So, I'm being extra cautious ;)
I pinky promise I'll keep up with my blog a lot more, so keep in tuned!!
XO, Court
As the title says, I'm a small town girl who recently moved to a big city... This is the place to learn about it :)

City driving, city life, & auditions.
First of all, when you're used to driving on simple little roads in Louisiana, "big city" driving can come as quite the shock. I honestly had never even seen a beltway, nonetheless driven on one... so you can only imagine my horror when I realized beltways, freeways, & highways are the quickest ways to get anywhere & everywhere here! It makes me laugh at how freaked out I was when I drove it for the first time... Oh the memories! It really doesn't help that the drivers are very aggressive and in my opinion, "coo-coo" butttt I guess I'll slowly learn their ways ;) I'm driving a little more each day & my fear is slowly going down! Yay me!
After having an audition today, I don't think that "Sin City" is the only nickname for Vegas... It could definitely be called "Competition City". Like I said before, most of the people that live here aren't really "from here"... People move here for bigger opportunity... Hoping for THE chance to get even the slightest glimpse of fame... To live life a little more... So with that said, everyone is super competitive around here. I can't say that it's a bad thing because it's already made me want to work that much harder. Then again, shouldn't I be at the top of my game at all times? Hey, we all fall off the bike sometimes, but we just have to get back up!
Until next time ;)

Too much time...
I didn't really have anything to do today, so I had a lot of time to think...
It's crazy how fast time flies... It seems just like yesterday that I was anticipating graduating high school. You know you remember those simple days where homework & tests (not bills) was the only thing that had a due date... Who made homecoming court & what to wear to dances was super important...etc. If you could go back in time knowing what you know now, would you change anything? Would you be satisfied with where your life has taken you? What I've learned is that you never really know where life is going to take you... Moving 1300 miles away, is a real eye opener I guess you could say. You realize & learn new things... some good things, some bad... Sure makes you grow up a little more (a little fast).
I promise my next post will be a lot more exciting... just had some things on my mind.
Until next time,

The BIG move...
This next blog is to catch you guys up on how I got to Vegas and what's happened since.
To answer an oh so popular question, "Did you drive or fly???"... Drum roll please!... DROVE. After outweighing the numerous options on shipping my stuff, it ended up working out better just to drive. How long of a drive was it? Well, my friend Juvon & I left at 5 a.m. from my parent's in Beaumont, TX & a little over 24 hours later we arrived at the state line. It literally felt like forever. If any of y'all have ever made that drive, you know that I mean it! AND after driving through alllll of Texas (13 hours of the trip), I truly believe that it should be divided into two states. To sum it all up, I highly recommend flying ;)
Las Vegas' beauty & culture is what truly drew me into moving here. Nothing is better than driving around and seeing beautiful mountains surround you. Since getting here, I haven't really had the opportunity to do much around the city, but I'm so excited! Between getting settled into a new apartment, figuring out everything that I need to do, and learning how to get around a whole new city, let's just say I've been a busy girl. I know it's barely been a week, but it honestly hasn't really set in that I live here... it's crazy to me that I finally did it. On another note, thank God for technology because boyy does it help! So far I haven't really got homesick, then again it hasn't been too long...
I've been wanting to tell all of you thank you for the massive amount of support. It really does mean a lot to me & has helped way more than you probably think.
I want to try to keep from rambling on in my posts so in every blog, I'll be talking about something new that's going on (& throwing in pictures soon!)... Thanks for those of you that are reading this, glad I can share my experience(s) with you :)

And so it begins...
Recently I moved from a small town in Louisiana, to Las Vegas, Nevada. Since it's such a big move I figured it'd be interesting to share different & crazy daily experiences of my journey with all of you. Now to answer your first question... "Why did you up & decide to move to LAS VEGAS?!?"... I know it seems crazy, but moving to a bigger place is honestly something that I've always wanted to do. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against my small hometown and will always love it, but it was finally time for change for me... To be honest with you, I finally got ballsy (excuse my language) enough to actually pick up and move. Why Vegas? Because I love it... and to me, that's a good enough reason. I really like the fact that hardly anyone is truly "from" there. It's a new, huge chapter in my life... Now I don't want to ramble on, on my very first blog so I'll end it here... But I'll be updating daily & answering any questions that y'all have for me... Stay tuned ;) XO
